I'm really excited about how the Shared Workspace is shaping up and we have some first-rate architects, facility, color and lighting planners helping us out. As you all know building out the new space is not going to be cheap as we are trying to create a quality environment that will not only serve everyone's needs but be a place where people will want to spend time.
One of the ideas that I'm putting out for consideration is offering the naming rights to our two conference rooms, the lounge and the commons. If it can work for colleges and sports teams, I figure it could work for our community. Every time someone looks up or refers to any of these spaces, they would be using your brand, for example:
"Meet me in the Vode Lounge"
"Our meeting will be in the Sonic.net Conference Room"
"The next social will be in the Wildfire Web Commons"
Each area will have an entry plaque identifying the name of the space that includes your brand name plus we would allow the sponsor to put up a larger logo on the wall inside the room/area. The logo would probably be limited to 18' x 24' but dimensions could vary by room. The website and all reservation systems would also utilize your brand name when referencing these spaces. Additionally, links to your company website would be added to our site.
When one considers that we have over 390 members, many of whom who will be holding meetings with other professionals and who will be utilizing our space either as a workspace or when attending a WIredSocial, I think this offers some nice exposure for a sponsoring brand.
The naming rights would be good for one year, renewable annually. What I'm thinking is the following pricing:
Conference Room - $3000
Lounge - $2000
Commons - $2000
If we were able to sell the names for all 4 spaces that would net us $10,000 or roughly 1/3 of our buildout/startup costs. (For example, the $3000 would just about pay for a 58" LCD Display screen and a state-of-the-art IP Speakerphone). The pricing is subject to change but I feel good about these values.
If, for some reason, you needed to change the name, (e.g. your company name changed) you would be responsible for any new signage.
Is this something that sounds interesting? I think the pricing is quite reasonable for the duration, breath and quality of exposure. Your brand will be associated with a positive and growing business development group, WiredSonoma, and a first-rate co-working space.
At this point, this is not a binding offer but more of an exploratory exercise; so feedback is not only welcomed but encouraged.
