Social Media Demographics – Oct 2009

I just read Gina's post about "Should your business be on Twitter" and I thought an article I posted yesterday on our company website would be a good companion. Recently, Brian Solis, of PR2.0 Blog, posted some raw data about the demographics and usage of social media. I took his numbers and put them into chart form with some commentary. I thought it was illuminating in that it bucks a few stereotypes and I even got a nod back from Solis, himself.

Who's a Talented Tweeter in Sonoma?

The other day I searched through a number of Sonoma Valley business Twitter profiles searching for a business to consumer biz that could provide a local case study for effectively using Twitter. There is a skill to writing compelling tweets.

The jury's still out on whether Twitter will stick around after we all discover the next big social media toy. But for now, Twitter continues to grow in popularity.

Thus my search for a talented tweeter.
