Neither Fable nor Farce: Why the Bear Flag Revolt was justified

University of Missouri requires students to buy iPhone

Apple's popular multimedia smartphone needed for delivery of course material

According to the University of Missouri website, incoming journalism students for the Fall semester will be required to purchase an Apple iPhone, or at minimum an iPod touch, to allow for the delivery of course material and “freshman-orientation information.”

Apple to feature "Spawn" iphone app on iTunes home page

Apple is featuring Spawn, an app on developed by Nikolai Sanders (local Marin boy who works at Autodesk) on the iTunes home page next week.
The app is currently #17 of all apps sold in the US and has been the source of attention for its success at a price above the supposed "sweet spot" of .99 cents.

Baby monitors and other domestic wireless devices are causing problems with WiFi connections. When your PC can detect your wireless router (and even report a good signal) but can't connect to it, the chances are that a deregulated wireless gadget is causing enough interference to cause WiFi failure. This is contrary to the popular belief that nearby WiFi routers are the prime suspects.

In the Future, there will be no secrets, part 1e, University of California Data Breached

The University of California at Berkeley is the latest organization to suffer a damaging data security breach.



University officials revealed last week that hackers successfully breached the student and alumni records system, gaining access to identifying information of more than 160,000 individuals. The pilfered data included Social Security numbers, health insurance information and limited medical history such as immunization records.
